January

  Our January started off with my birthday. Tom made me a delicious omelet for breakfast.  

Then Abbi and I went to lunch and shopped for a bit.  I treated Abbi to the deliciousness of Blue Lemon and it was delicious.  

 We went to Night at the Museum (even Blake and he did great).   

Then we had dinner at Red Robin since it was closest place to the theater and the kids were starving.  

Tom even made me a birthday cake.  

We changed to 1:00 church for the new year and Gavin struggled with that.  Gavin will sometimes fall asleep in the late afternoon but all the holiday celebrating must have caught up to him this day.  He decided sacrament meeting would be a nice time to take a nap.  

Most of January Abbi and Carter were off track so we had an extra long Christmas break. This is how we spent most of the days-- 

Luckily Gavin had a preschool field trip to the dinosaur museum while they were off track so we all went.  He prepared for it by being a paleontologist at preschool that week.  

I came across Carter's old glasses and he wanted to try them on.  He was so cute with glasses but I'm glad we don't need to worry about them now.  

Blake kept busying standing up

eating

sitting at the bottom of the stairs (not realizing he can climb them yet which is ok)

and being loved by all.  

 Molly learned that Blake is the giver of all good food and it's a good thing to sit by him when he eats

and that girls can by annoying and put their sweaters on you  

but sometimes she treats you like a baby so it's okay.  

We were able to go to the new Aquarium for free thanks to my sister in law's sister Nicole. It was a busy crazy place but it made a fun Saturday activity.   

Tom started taking a few classes at SLCC this semester.  Anatomy and physiology.  2 classes you should never take together but Tom is tackling it.   I had to take a first day of school picture (much to his dislike).  

 The kids had fun playing the Suspend game Carter got for Christmas.  It really gets a lot of funny reactions as you play.   

Gavin earned a reward and got a ninja turtle from McDonalds.  He's still loving those ninja turtles. 

On the last day of off track Zac was out of school and Abbi had some free passes to the children's museum so we spent a few hours there.   

Abbi always loves to play postwoman.  

Carter was thrilled the blocks worked as dominoes.  

Abbi and her friend Keltzy love baking on their days off.  They made some cupcakes from a cake mix we had gotten as a Christmas gift.  

On the last Sunday of the month we had my brother Scott's family over for Sunday dinner.  

Before they had to go we had a quick piano recital by the four older kids.  

Even Carter played a little something he taught himself.  

And the kids finally went back to school.  Abbi was so helpful with Blake while she was out of school.  I was glad to finally have Christmas break over though.
