A Day in Salt Lake City

Today we decided to go to downtown Salt Lake City on a whim. The kids hadn't been down there for awhile and they were excited about riding the light rail (they still consider it a train). We went to Caputo's Deli first. That was a great meal, but some of it ended up all over Abbi's clothes. We then went to the Energy Solutions Arena to show Zac and Abbi where the Jazz play. We wandered over to Temple Square and we were able to go inside for the first time since they were renovating it. It was amazing to hear the acoustics of the Tabernacle and to think how well they engineered it back in the 1800s. We took them to the Cristus at the visitors center, and then to the reflection pool in front of the temple. Not only did we have some fun, we also felt the Spirit along the way. It is great to reconnect with Temple Square and reflect about the growth of the Church and the blessings it brings to our lives.
