Saturday, November 10th

Our last night we spent in Santa Monica. We got a great deal on hotwire.com at a Holiday Inn just across the street from the pier. We just laughed at the $3 bottled water in our room and the pillow menu (order the kind of pillow you want from the front desk). We didn't have much time that morning before our flight left but we walked down to the pier for an hour or so. The kids were dying to go on the beach again but I wasn't dying to deal with all the sand again. We listened to some guy play cheesy love songs at his makeshift dj table on the pier and watched other people fish off the end of the pier. Then we were off in the crazy California traffic to the airport. Oh what fun we had, but oh how exhausted we were.
